报告摘要: Today’s wireless communication systems generally adopt the orthogonal multiple access (OMA) principle for serving multiple users. The simplicity of OMA is traditionally preferred even though this approach is sub-optimal and introduces strict limitations. Alternative schemes implementing non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) have become increasingly attractive given recent advances in radio technology and growing expectations on wireless networks. In this talk, we will introduce some recent results with provable optimal and approximate methods for NOMA optimization which allows to enhance several important aspects of cellular networks, such as scalable connectivity and resource utilization efficiency. We would discuss the joint subcarrier and power allocation (JSPA) problem under NOMA and address it by introducing a generic optimization framework that covers a large class of utility functions and accounts for practical constraints, in which we divide the general JSPA problem into several subproblems and develop efficient algorithms taking advantage of each subproblem’s specific properties. We also study their computational complexity and approximability. The generality and modularity of this framework makes our algorithms easily extensible to cover the needs of future network scenarios. Besides, we will discuss the potential and methods of using NOMA for addressing the challenges of B5G & IIoT, which require high network capacity, spectrum efficiency, massive connectivity, ultra-reliable low latency, and user fairness.
